Dutch Connection A1 & A2
A 12-week in-person beginner course designed for expats who want to start speaking Dutch with confidence. We will get to know each other through lots of interactive speaking activities like role-plays and speed-dating. With domino games, running dictations, and matching games, you will practise new grammar and vocabulary in a fun and stress-free environment. And everybody will stay engaged and active in our lessons using their own mini-whiteboards. From ordering a coffee to handling daily conversations, you’ll gain the real-life language skills you need to communicate naturally and feel at home in the Netherlands!
What you’ll learn in this in-person Dutch course
This is a practical course, so you are not just going to study the language – you are going to learn to understand and speak Dutch in everyday situations such as:

Hi! I’m Anouk van der Linde
I’m a certified Dutch teacher based in the Netherlands. With over 15 years of experience, I’ve helped expats like you feel more at home by learning Dutch in a fun and stress-free way.
Having lived as an expat in Turkey, I understand the challenges of adapting to a new culture and language. My goal is to make Dutch learning enjoyable and practical, so you can start using it in real-life situations right away.

How do the classes work?
What level will I reach after this course?
By completing all 11 weeks of the course, you’ll be able to handle everyday situations and have basic conversations in Dutch. This corresponds to A1 level on the CEFR scale. The follow-up course leads to A2 level.
What if I’m not a ‘language person’?
Will the classes be recorded?
What happens if I miss a class?
Will there be a test at the end?
Does this course prepare for the Inburgeringsexam A2?
If you do a follow-up course leading to level A2, you will have reached the level required for the exam. However, this is not exam training.
Will I receive a certificate?
Yes! If you attend at least 9 out of 12 classes, you’ll receive a certificate of attendance.
How can I pay?
If you’re in the Netherlands, you can pay via iDEAL. If you don’t have a Dutch bank account yet, you can pay by credit card.
Can I pay in installments?
Yes! You can pay in two installments (not applicable to Early Bird price):
- The first payment is due upon registration.
- The second installment must be paid by May, 23.
